Highfields Education Partner for PSHE ( Including RSE) - CLE SCARF

PSHE  ( Personal, Social, Health and Economics education) is taught through the school at Highfields. 

Highfields follows a programme of study that is  linked to the Government endorsed "PSHE Association".  Highfield's teaching staff teach the curriculum using materials from our leading education provider  Coram Life Education (CLE)  using their SCARF programme ( Safety, Caring,  Resilience and Friendship)  You can read more about them here.

Lessons are thought provoking and the teacher often works as a facilitator to support the children's thinking.

At Highfields we believe that the lessons that we learnt in PSHE stand us in good stead for all of our lives and support learning in other areas of school life.

We teach the CLE SCARF  programme  with some adjustments  to make the programme work for our class groupings. Each each topic is taught carefully and sensitively.
