This page contains learning activities for Year 5 pupils who are self-isolating or are affected by school closure.
Each child has brought home an exercise book, in which they can complete activities. We fully understand that not all of the activities may be completed if children and/or adults are unwell.
The activities are based on a range of curriculum areas. Some activities may require pupils to access the internet, and we ask you to ensure they do this safely. The Online Safety Booklet can be found on the policies page of the school website. Some activities require your child to be outside, and again, this should only be done if it is safe to do so.
The first week of activities is attached inside your child’s new Home Learning exercise book. Activities for subsequent will be posted on the class page.
We suggest that children use the exercise book to build a portfolio of the activities they have completed. You may wish to take photos and print things out to add to the book, but there is no expectation that this will be the case.
Work will not be marked in the traditional sense, but it will be shared and discussed at an appropriate time, once the school has reopened.
Also uploaded to this page is a list of websites and Apps that will help children to maintain their learning. This list will be added to over time.
We hope all our families stay safe and well during this challenging time.
