The school offers a range of music opportunities for children. In addition to the music tuition that is available, the school also has a popular band and choir who regularly participate in a range of performances both at school and in the local community. 

KS2 CHOIR

 

The school choir is open to children in Key Stage 2, from Years 4 to 6. 
They rehearse on Thursday during school from 2.30pm to 3.00pm. 
During the year, they have opportunity to perform at a number 
of community events, including The Magic of Christmas Stour Choral
Society concert

BAND

 

The School band rehearse on a Thursday morning from 8.15 - 8.45. It is open to children learning a musical instrument from Year 3 to 6. For more information please contact the school office.

 

Magic of Christmas Concert 

42 key stage 2 pupils took part in this annual event. The choir sang very well and the ‘Mini Girl’s Vocal’ showed off their incredible vocal technique by singing unaccompanied in two parts.

 

The 14 piece band delighted two packed audiences with their playing of traditional carols. A lovely memorable event.

 

Music is such a great way to increase children’s self-esteem and confidence and Highfields has a very good reputation in the community for high music standards and achievements.
