Breakfast Club

To help busy parents we run a daily Breakfast Club.  Pupils may come into School from 7.45am to 8am via the front gate. Drop off is at the rear of the school, first set of hall doors.

Children are given breakfast and then supervised with a variety of activities until school begins.  The following is offered for breakfast every day: a variety of cereals, toast (with or without jam), yoghurt and fruit. 

With effect from August 2024 you will be able to book and pay through Scopay for all Breakfast Club bookings.

1. All bookings and payments for breakfast club to be made in advance of attending.
2. It is possible to book and pay for breakfast club for the half term in advance if you wish.
3. We will not be taking breakfast club bookings by email or over the phone.
4. If you want to book your child/children into breakfast club, the booking and payment needs to be made by 3.30pm on the day before. 
5. We have 50 places available each day at breakfast club.  Bookings for each half term will open at the start of the month before.  E.g. Bookings for the Spring half term will open in December 2023.  
6. If you have booked a session and need to cancel/change the day, you must do this in advance of the session and before 3.30pm the day before, to avoid being charged.  Please be aware that we will not be routinely refunding breakfast club payments if your child does not attend.     

You will not be able to book for Breakfast Club, unless you have sufficient credit on your Scopay breakfast club account

After School Club

Highfields Primary School opened our own after school club in September 2024. 

You need to register your child in advance for them to attend the after school club.  Please contact the school office to obtain a registration form.  The club is open until 5.30pm each day.  A healthy snack is served at 4.30pm. There are 30 places available each day and you can book the sessions through Scopay, once the office has reviewed your child's completed registration form.

Tax-Free Childcare Scheme

We are able to accept Tax Free Childcare for payment of Breakfast Club and After School Club.  If you use the Tax-Free Childcare scheme, these transfers need to be arranged in advance and your child’s Scopay account will be credited once the school has confirmation of the payments made.  Every time a payment is made, please email us (office@highfields.essex.sch.uk) with a screen shot with the your child's Tax Free Childcare reference number, amount and date of transfer.  Once the school has credited your child's Scopay account you can use this balance for bookings.  Please allow enough time for payments to be applied to your child/ren's account/s before bookings need to be made.  Please note that generally Tax-Free Childcare payments will not be applied to Scopay during school holidays.  

We are able to accept Edenred Childcare Vouchers for payment of Breakfast Club and After School Club.  Please contact the School Office for further information.
