Essex University Challenge 2016
15 children from Year 6 recently spend a day at Essex University. This was part of the University Challenge programme, designed to promote aspirations and self-esteem amongst primary school students whilst also raising their awareness of higher education.
The children took part in a treasure hunt around the campus which visited the library, computing and sports facilities, had a creative storytelling session and spent time observing and discussing pictures in the Creative Landscape art exhibition. At the end of the day, there was a graduation ceremony with caps and gowns, certificates and photographs.
